NDI NEW MEXICO COVID GUIDELINES - Updated Aug 15, 2022
- Facilities and studios are disinfected daily.
- All studios are equipped with air purifiers that run 24-hours/day.
- At this time, masks are optional in our facilities (within guidelines listed below). NDI reserves the right to change this policy at any time.
- All policies below apply regardless of vaccination status.
- Covid tests referred to in this policy can be either home/antigen or PCR tests
- Performance/audience guidelines will be updated in advance of events
At our facilities:
- Anyone experiencing any single symptom of illness (other than fever) should wear a mask while onsite for NDI activities.
- If a dancer/staff member has a fever, or has any two symptoms of illness, stay home and contact us immediately.
- For dancers: If the household has no known Covid-19 exposure, the dancer may return after symptoms have subsided. *
For staff: staff may return to work after symptoms have subsided AND have provided a negative Covid test
- For all: If you know your symptoms to be a mild, non-infectious chronic condition with no change from your regular baseline (eg; allergies, asthma) you should wear a mask but you may continue coming onsite.
- If a dancer/staff member is a known close contact** of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19
- If no symptoms are present in themselves or any member of their household, the dancer/staff member may continue coming to work/programs onsite, but must wear a mask for at least 5 days after their exposure. We encourage social distancing particularly during this period, and ask everyone to evaluate their level of exposure and act accordingly, staying home if you believe your likelihood of transmission from your close contact was high.
- At 5 days after exposure, assuming that no symptoms developed in themselves or anyone in their household, dancers/staff must provide a negative covid test in order to remove their mask onsite.
- If symptoms present in themselves or anyone in their household, dancer/staff member must stay home until symptoms have subsided and must also provide a negative Covid test before returning onsite.
- If no symptoms are present in themselves or any member of their household, the dancer/staff member may continue coming to work/programs onsite, but must wear a mask for at least 5 days after their exposure. We encourage social distancing particularly during this period, and ask everyone to evaluate their level of exposure and act accordingly, staying home if you believe your likelihood of transmission from your close contact was high.
- If a dancer/staff member tests positive for Covid-19, please stay home and contact us immediately.
- The dancer/staff member may only return after completing a 5-day quarantine*** AND
- symptoms have subsided* AND
- all members of the household are without symptoms.
- The dancer/staff member will be required to wear a mask for an additional 5 days after being cleared to return to in-person activities.
*Symptoms subsiding means that no symptoms are present for 24 hours without the use of any medication.
**A close contact is defined as someone in the same household or someone with whom the dancer/staff member has been within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more in a 24-hour period has tested positive.
***Quarantine period: Day 0 is the day symptoms began or a positive test or close contact was made. The following day is day 1, and if all criteria are met as described above to return, they would be eligible to return on day 6.
