Gabriel Carrion-Gonzales

Residency Instructor

Gabriel graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Psychology and an interdisciplinary minor in chemistry and dance. Before that he attended the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) for two years on scholarship, as well as dance intensives at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Miami City Ballet, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, and Houston Ballet. In addition to working for NDI New Mexico, he has also taught ballet and jazz at Keshet Center for the Arts, Albuquerque.  Gabe began his dance training through NDI New Mexico at Navajo Elementary in the third grade, and then went on to dance with the Super Wonderful Advanced Team (SWAT), Celebration Team, and Company XCel. “Dancing with NDI New Mexico inspired me in so many ways and taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and determination. I am very excited to have the opportunity to pass these lessons down to students of my own.”
