Kevin Ward

Pianist

Kevin originally trained to be a pianist but caught the dance bug in high school. He danced with the Cincinnati Ballet Company, Cincinnati Opera, Dance Theatre of Harlem and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC), where he also taught, choreographed numerous works, and following the death of founder Jeraldyne Blunden, was named Artistic Director in 1999. Kevin retired from dance in 2007 and moved to New Mexico. He is part time staff at New Mexico School for the Arts, and continues to consult and work with DCDC. Kevin has both taught dance and played piano for NDI New Mexico, where he began in 2009.
