Kiri Chapman joined the NDI New Mexico team in 2022.  She is from Michigan, and spent four years living in Brazil, in Rio and Sao Paolo teaching Brazilian partner dances.  She started dancing ballet at a young age, and attended the Kirov Academy of Ballet, as well as summers with the School of American Ballet and ABT National Training Scholar programs.  She danced professionally for Tulsa Ballet, and River North Dance Co, and has appeared on America’s Got Talent, and Dancing with the Stars Brasil. She started her Latin and ballroom dance training in New York City, where she fell in love with Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, and Kizomba, and began to perform and teach in festivals throughout the world not long afterwards. Kiri is passionate about teaching and always looking for simple, interesting, and functional ways to engage people with dance.
