Pamela Ladas

Santa Fe Artistic Associate and Dance Barns Teaching Artist

Pamela is a multifaceted individual with a background as a dancer, choreographer, educator, and healthcare professional. In 1985 she graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in Anthropology and Dance, with Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude honors. After teaching dance to children at the Steffi Nossen School of Dance in New York, Pamela moved to Santa Fe in 1989 to teach anatomy and physiology, and to begin a medical massage program at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. She received her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine in 1999, practiced as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and taught at The Southwest Acupuncture College. Pamela discovered NDI New Mexico through one of her patients and knew immediately that she wanted to participate. She was thrilled to join the NDI New Mexico artistic staff in 2003 and to have the opportunity to dance, choreograph, and teach children once again. She now dedicates herself to raising her daughters, Coriandra and Kailina, and to her work with NDI New Mexico.
