Sage is a life-long learner and lover of music. She started playing classical piano at age six via the Suzuki method, and expanded her sight-reading skills and knowledge of music theory when she studied under Steinway Artist and classical concert pianist and composer, Dr. Karen Walwyn (DMA). Sage’s passion for music education began during her time in New York City, where she taught music classes in NYC public schools. Sage designed a curriculum that uses music theory to bridge the arts & sciences, and was recognized by the International Society for Music Education. Sage is excited to continue her work as an Albuquerque pianist with NDI, where she loves to inspire and engage students with live music.
