Wendy Barker

Wendy has been working as a teacher for NDI New Mexico for over 15 years at The Hiland, The Dance Barns in Santa Fe and for the Albuquerque In-School Program.  She was born and raised in Albuquerque and grew up at the local dance studios learning ballet, tap and jazz.  For the past 30+ years she has performed in, choreographed or directed over 100 shows. She received her B.A. in Theatre with a minor in music from UNM. She traveled around the country performing in the National Tour of Anything Goes and has taught and performed at a number of venues around the country including with the Bill Evans Tap Ensemble.  She is the director/choreographer of the Enchantment Awards (New Mexico High School Musical Theatre Awards) and Vice-President of the Board. She has been a business owner with her husband for over 20 years. Wendy loves NDI New Mexico and believes in the mission. She believes that the arts can save lives and teach children standards. Wendy is here to help, and to share her passion for dance and musical theatre with all students and families.
