Joni K. Pierce is a retired investment management professional with over forty years of experience managing investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, charitable organizations, tribal entities, and trusts, and supervising investment management teams. Her responsibilities included working with clients in drafting statements of investment policies, constucting and monitoring investment portfolios, and reporting investment results. In supervising investment management teams, she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of investment strategy in client portfolios, and compliance with regulatory and risk management guidelines.
Ms. Pierce was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation by CFA Institute in 1986. She holds a M.A. degree in Business Administration (Finance concentration) and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska.
Since relocating to New Mexico over thirty-five years ago, Ms. Pierce has been an active volunteer in numerous professional and charitable organizations. Her volunteer experience includes service on various committees, including Executive, Governance, Finance, Investments, Development, Planned Giving, and Programs.
Ms. Pierce is a founding member and former board member of the CFA Society of New Mexico. She served as a volunteer President’s Council Representative for the Southcentral U.S., Central and Latin America region for CFA Institute, with global responsibilities. She previously served on the boards of the Anderson School Foundation at the University of New Mexico and the New Mexico Estate Planning Council. Ms. Pierce recently completed a seven-year board term with the Albuquerque Museum Foundation, retiring as past-President. She currently serves on the Investment Committee for the National Dance Institute of New Mexico.
