Joelle Mevi is a retired government finance officer with over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and public funds investing. Joelle has lived in Santa Fe, NM since 1994, except for a five-year detour to Fort Worth Texas where she was the Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer of the $2 billion Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund until her retirement in 2019. Prior to this, she held positions as the Chief Investment Officer for the $14 billion New Mexico Public Employees Retirement Association, the CIO for the New Mexico State Treasury’s $5 billion portfolio, and Investment Officer for the City of Santa Fe.
Joelle hails from central California, the eldest of five siblings born to a UCLA-educated doctor Dad and a La Cienega, NM-to-California transplant Mom. She has two grown and married sons: Noah, the NM Planning Manager for Wilson & Co, Albuquerque; and Fletcher, a realtor for Cush Real Estate in Oakland, CA.
Joelle received an MBA from the University of New Mexico and a BA in Business Administration/Accounting from California State University East Bay.
Joelle enjoys travel, bicycling, day hiking, great food, and all things art-related. Additionally, she volunteers on endowment investment committees for three non-profit organizations and as a board member to one. Otherwise, she is thoroughly enjoying retirement in Santa Fe with her three darling Brussels Griffon roommates.
