Sandy has lived in Albuquerque since 1968 when she came (on a whim) to attend UNM. She has a BA in special education an a BS and MS in nursing and has worked in both professions over a span of 40 years. She has served on many community boards and chaired several of them. She is currently an active member of Rotary Del Norte. Her passion is traveling, especially to engage in humanitarian work in underserved areas, both in the U.S. and abroad. She is married to Bruce and has a daughter, Melissa, and grandchildren, Noah and Hallie.
