The Dance Barns Registration
Welcome to NDI New Mexico at The Dance Barns! We have school year classes and summer classes for ages three to adult in our Young Children’s Division, Junior/Senior Division, Pre-Professional Division and Adult Division.
NDI New Mexico provides affordable rigorous performing arts programming that builds technical skills and personal character and is accessible to all children. We provide a well-rounded experience in the Performing Arts and welcome children of all abilities. NDI New Mexico provides programming that contributes to children’s success in life through healthy attitudes, rigor, discipline and creativity. Students’ experience is consistent with NDI New Mexico’s methodology of joyous learning while the teaching re-enforces the NDI New Mexico Core Four: work hard, do your best, never give up and be healthy. Sliding scale tuition is available to ensure that all children can participate in classes.

Spring Break Dance Classes

Creative Movement Classes
Ages 3-4
9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
An energetic 45-minute class that gives young dancers a joyful way to experience movement, music, and self-expression.
Tuition: $45.00
One-Time Registration Fee: $15.00
Pre-Dance Classes
Ages 5-6
Pre-Ballet: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. OR
Pre-JazzTap: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Pre-dance classes are 1-hour classes that are perfect for young dancers looking for an introduction to a variety of dance experiences!
Tuition: $45.00
One-Time Registration Fee: $15.00
Junior Beginner
Ages 7-9
Hip-Hop: 1:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. AND
Latin Rhythms: 2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Designed for dancers building confidence and coordination, this program introduces dynamic movement, rhythm, and style in a fun and structured setting.
Tuition: $90.00
One-Time Registration Fee: $15.00
Junior Intermediate
Ages 10-13
Latin Rhythms: 1:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. AND
Hip-Hop: 2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
This program is ideal for dancers ready to challenge themselves with more complex choreography, musicality, and style-specific technique.
Tuition: $90.00
One-Time Registration Fee: $15.00

Early Steps
Ages: 3-6
A playful, nurturing introduction to dance and movement designed to develop coordination, musicality, creativity, and social skills. Classes emphasize exploration through music, imagination, and age-appropriate technique in a safe and supportive environment.
Junior Beginner
Ages: 7-9
Designed for students with limited dance experience. Focuses on foundational technique, coordination, musicality, and confidence-building through ballet, creative movement, and introductory contemporary forms.
Junior Intermediate
Ages: 9-11
For students with prior dance experience. Emphasizes technical development, alignment, strength, flexibility, musicality, and artistic expression across ballet and contemporary-based movement.
Pre-Professional Division
Intermediate-Advanced
A rigorous, multi-disciplinary dance intensive for serious students pursuing advanced training. Core studies include Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Choreography-Composition, Repertoire, and Jazz, with supplemental training in Improvisation, Partnering, Pointe (as appropriate).
