About NDI New Mexico
NDI New Mexico teaches children excellence through the dynamic discipline of dance. We are one of the largest organizations serving youth in our state and our programs address critical youth development needs.
We partner with cooperating public schools in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Northern New Mexico, and Residency sites throughout the state, to offer the In-School Program for 3rd to 5th graders. For a full 15 weeks (a semester) or 30 weeks (the full school year) entire classes participate.
A certified NDI New Mexico teaching artist and a pianist lead these classes and prepare students to perform in the big End-of-Year Event that crowns their NDI New Mexico experience. At each performance, more than 500 students from different schools collaborate and learn a new level of teamwork.
Through the NDI New Mexico Residency Program, an abbreviated version of the Public School Program is offered to additional communities.
Children who are motivated and capable of learning advanced choreography are invited to participate in our public school advanced teams and summer programs.
We also offer rigorous performing arts classes for all ages with Sliding Scale Tuition at The Dance Barns in Santa Fe and The Hiland in Albuquerque.
