The Dance Barns Registration

Welcome to NDI New Mexico at The Dance Barns! We have school year classes and summer classes for ages three to adult in our Young Children’s Division, Junior/Senior Division, Pre-Professional Division and Adult Division.

NDI New Mexico provides affordable rigorous performing arts programming that builds technical skills and personal character and is accessible to all children. We provide a well-rounded experience in the Performing Arts and welcome children of all abilities. NDI New Mexico provides programming that contributes to children’s success in life through healthy attitudes, rigor, discipline and creativity. Students’ experience is consistent with NDI New Mexico’s methodology of joyous learning while the teaching re-enforces the NDI New Mexico Core Four: work hard, do your best, never give up and be healthy. Sliding scale tuition is available to ensure that all children can participate in classes.

2025-2026 After-School Class Offerings

Young Children’s Division

Young Children’s Division classes are based on the renowned Dance for Joy curriculum created by Allegra Lillard. The classes support physical, mental, social, and emotional development in young children. They also develop school and life readiness in a joyful and creative environment.

Creative Movement: Ages 3-4

An energetic 45-minute class that gives dancers ages 3-4 a joyful way to experience movement, music, and self-expression at a young age. Creative Movement Semester I classes are from August 18 – December 20 and Semester II from January 5 – March 21. There is no performance for Creative Movement classes.

Pre-Dance Classes: Ages 5-6

Pre-dance classes are 1-hour classes that are perfect for young dancers looking for an introduction to a variety of dance experiences! Classes begin on August 18 and end on April 16 with the Young Children’s Division Showcase performance.

Spanish Dance & Flamenco

Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. | Ages 9-14

Discover the passion and elegance of Spain through movement! This class introduces the fundamentals of Flamenco and Classical Spanish Dance, focusing on rhythm, expression, and technique.
