Celebrate Independence Day with Hamilton like you’ve never experienced it before. NDI New Mexico and Musical Theatre Southwest invite the community to a free screening of the Broadway phenomenon, plus exclusive master classes and workshops with original cast member Betsy Struxness.
Join us July 2 & 3 for an exciting, handson experience open to all skill levels, ages 14 and up.
Betsy Struxness
Betsy Struxness is an interdisciplinary artist, entertainer and educator. Raised in the professional arts community of Kansas City and with a BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School in New York City, Struxness made a name for herself on Broadway in Wicked and Memphis and originated hit shows like Matilda and most notably, Hamilton. Struxness’s talents extend well beyond dance and stage with her continued work on screens small and large, through speakers and headphones, and as part-time lecturer with USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. Her debut pop EP, Physical Attention, drops July 24th. Struxness currently lives in Los Angeles. https://www.betsyStruxness.com/Â

Bring your favorite 16bar audition cut and work oneonone with Broadway veteran and original Hamilton cast member Betsy Struxness. Learn how to polish your material, clarify your storytelling, and make confident, memorable choices that help you stand out in the room.
Singers will be selected to work in the order they arrive—arrive early. While not everyone is guaranteed time to sing, all participants will gain invaluable insight into what directors listen for and how to put your best foot forward at your next audition. Bring your sheet music in a binder with your 16-bar cut clearly marked.

Choreography Master Class

Perfect for beginning and intermediate movers, this class dives into actual choreography from Broadway’s Hamilton. Learn how storytelling, rhythm, and movement come together in one of the most influential musicals of our time—plus pick up insider industry tips along the way.
Wear comfortable movement clothes; jazz shoes recommended if you have them.
