Dance Barns Teaching Artist

Emma began dancing in her formative years in Santa Fe, New Mexico at Dance for Joy and The Dance Barns. She attended high school at New Mexico School for the Arts with a focus in dance while she continued her training with The Dance Barns Program. She attended summer intensives at State Street Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and many summers with Ballet Chicago before eventually moving to Chicago for a year in high school. There she danced with the Ballet Chicago’s Pre-Professional Studio Company, while simultaneously completing her high school courses online. There she had unique opportunities to be taught by world-renowned choreographers and teachers as well as unforgettable performance experiences. Currently, Emma goes to the Santa Fe Community College where she studies Fine Art and Early Childhood Education. She is a passionate artist and teacher and her goal is to further her experiences as a dance teacher for young children.
