Veronica Estrada

Veronica Estrada is a Hispanic student, dancer, choreographer, and teacher attending college at the University of New Mexico. She is majoring in Exercise Science with a contemporary dance minor in hopes of joining a professional company and giving back to her community by becoming a dancer focused physical therapist. Veronica began her dance training in the fourth grade with the National Dance Institute of New Mexico and throughout her summers she has attended programs with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ballet Hispánico, and BODYTRAFFIC. Over her years of training, she has performed choreography by Jock Soto, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Dana Tai Soon, Steven Melendez and Vladimir Conde Reche. She most recently signed an apprentice contract with New Mexico Ballet Company for their 2023-2024 season. Within the Hiland After-School program, Veronica teaches the Primary-Ballet and Ballet 1 level classes.
